God's Mailbox?

Hi friends,
I just thought I would explain something about this blog. My crude sense of humor aside, there is a very specific reason why I decided to title my blog "A Year in God's Mailbox". The reason is this: I'm spending a year in Jerusalem where the Western Wall is. The Wall is perhaps the most iconic symbol in all of Judaism and although we are taught and we believe that God is all around us, it is said that, at the Wall, we are especially close to God. Also, it is customary to tuck notes and prayers to God in the cracks of the Wall. Thus, the Wall (therefore Jerusalem) is basically God's direct mailbox :)

  1. So can we post messages to you and you will put them in the wall?

    1. Yes, I suppose so. Though I should warn you, be careful what you wish for. God is always listening to us, even when we don't know it. Maybe I should have people sign a waiver stating that I am just the messenger and I can't be, in any way, held repsonsible for the results of the messages I deliver to God's Mailbox :D

    1. I was in California, but now I'm spending the night in Munich because my flight out of the East Coast was delayed 3 hours. Plus, this past week I've been in NYC :) I love the Old Country! Tomorrow I will be in Jerusalem at last!
